Comments:	Very nice, I went to church of Christ camp many years ago in Kentucky at Western Kentucky Youth Camp in Marion, it was so nice, I Obeyed the Gospel there years ago, it was so awesome, its a great Commission to spread the Gospel to both young and old. Comments:	I attended this camp for some of the most amazing summers here as a child, and a few retreats as well. My whole youth group from Radnor Church of Christ went every summer. It was the most beautiful place I had ever seen. Even the summer I got stung by a hornet (8 times on my back, and eye), and I had to stay in the cabin for most of the week I still got to do the devotionals at night. I was so happy I refused to call my grand ma to go home. I will be sending my four children, as soon as I can, and recomened it to anyone with children.

Comments:	i have been to bible camp here every year, except one, since i was 8 years old. i just turned 16 so this will be my 8th year and i am so excited. SMBC is one of the best places to spend a week of summer vacation. Its very peaceful on the mountain and everyone there, including staff, counselors, and directors, are very nice and are always willing to help you out in pretty much anyway they can. i encourage almost everyone to go at least once and experience the magic! My favorite week is Cannon County but its always really full so another great week is Warren County. :) SMBC ROCKS!!!!!!!

Comments:	As a former camper and staff member, I am so glad to see this website. I started going to SMBC in 1984 as a camper and then worked as lifeguard from 1991 to 1995. Now that my own children are getting to the age of being able to attend camp I look forward to being back on the mountain. I remember Lisa Grissom when I was a camper. I loved Lisa, Beth and Carey (they were staff.) A big shout out to Bethany Rains and all the other staff I worked with over the years. Looking forward to the summers when my children are there. Of course it will be none other than COFFEE COUNTY WEEK.

Comments:	I had the best year at camp than ever before. I have been a cook on White/Warren week for 7 yrs and this year was the best. It usually takes me a week to get over being uop there standing on my feet 15 hours a day and stressing out about the amount of food. this year thanks to Greta and Lori in the kitchen to help us it was so much easier. In the past when the young kids were in there we had to do everything and prepare it all and this year when it was feet on bed they would tell us to get out and go rest and we would actually get to sit down and when we came back in to prepare the evening meal they had things going and prepared where it was not too hard on anyone. It just really made a difference and it was a camp cooking experience that I hope to repeat many more years.

Comments:	Short Mountain Bible Camp is one of my favoritte places in the world because I can come to camp every summer and have fun and hang out with my friends. When I go there I get entergized up to come home and learn how I can have a better relationship with God. If you never been to short mountain then I ask you to come.. Its one experienced that I will never regret.

Comments:	Short Mountain Bible Camp is my favorite place in the whole world. I have went to this great camp for two great years. The first year I went I was baptised. Short Mountain helped me make that decision that I am so very proud of. This year was the overall best. I have tons of friends that go every year. The following are a few: Jonathon Griffin, Connor Hale, Siera Sims, Chelsey Simerly, Lauren Roller, and Tony. If you go to Short Mountain you will always go back. Short Mountain is mainly so good because their is a whole week up bible study and it helps you to get closer to God and become a stronger christian. It also helps to be away from the world for a while. I just cant type everything I love about Short Mountain because there is so much. The only word that really covers it all is AMAZING! I will continue going as long as I am allowed. I love all the staff there too. Danny and Derek are the best Camp Directors in the world. The counselors are all very great. Well. I could say tons more but I just dont have the time. I love Short Mountain Bible Camp. Later.

Comments:	I attended SMBC (formerly known as SMYC) in the sixties. I remember the plaque dedication to Dr. Adams. I remember Mom & Pop Brown. I also remember Missy, their dog. I remember the VIEWS... Spectacular even at age 10 or so. There was a cave about halfway between the kitchen/dining hall and the boys cabins on the left. It was a very small cave but still a welcome coolness on hot days. Can you still go in there? Do you still go up on the top of the "little" mountain (the fire tower is/was on it) for a picnic? How about the "overnight" at Center Hill Lake? The water there was crystal clear back then. You could see a hundred feet down in to it. It's not that way, now, I know. I attended every summer from the age that I could until the age that I couldn't. It was a very wonderful time of my life. I'm 57 now. Enjoy it. It is a rare and wonderful place and, regardless of the future direction of your life, you will NEVER forget the experience.

Comments:	i attended this camp from the age of 7 or 8 till the age of 18. i have to many good memories that i know will never go away. and i made even more that redefined my life the 5 years i worked up there. i hated to see it go; i hated that i split my ways. i have tried to go back but this place just doesn't have that warmth of home that it use to. i write this for you to read so that when your there you stop and take in everything that's around you. its not the 5 star rooms you sleep in, not the basket/volley/soft/base/football games; the horses or the pool that makes this camp awsome but the people. put aside the Worldly thinks and pick up God.

I will never forget the memories I made on the mountain as a teenager and I will never forget the wonderful singing that took place there. I used to spend 51 one weeks a year anticipating going to camp. The memories of Short Mountain will always have a place in my heart.

Comments:	I just got home from SMBC White County/ Warren County week yesterday, and I already want to go back. It was my 5th year staying up there and I think every year it gets better and better. I first went when I was 10 and I have made so many memories and good friends since then. I missed camp last year, but after I got up there Sunday I realized that I had forgot just how much that mountain means to me. I already miss everyone so much, along with the lessons and the singing. Short Mountain truly is amazing and does so much for me. It is a placed touched by GOD and I am so thankful for the opportunity to attend camp each year. Comments:	Going to Short Mountain was the highlight of my summer from 1979 through 1986. It was all my parents (David and Lynn Scott) could do to get us girls (my sister Sandy and later on younger sister Sarah) to eat Sunday lunch before we headed up to camp for the week. From "Oh what a goose I am" on the first night to skit night on Friday night, we were in heaven. My favorites were the chapel in the woods, hanging out at the barn and pretending to not be deathly afraid of the horses, picking out the infamous "etc." to paint in the craft house and hiking up the the tower - especially as a counselor surrounded by affectionate 9 year olds who all wanted to hold your hand. "Round the mess hall you must go" was also hilarious and hair-raising. I can't imagine not having all of those wonderful experiences and memories and I'm thrilled that new memories are being made each summer. Have fun!

I just think that it's so amazing how the Lord can make that of a huge impact on peoples lifes.. I met TONS of new friends at camp.. Including a very special and very close friend to me now, Jericha. Then I want to thank Steve Lynn and his wonderful wife for all the work that they do in keeping it and giving each and everyone of us a fun time at camp.I then want to thank Mark Williams for the wondeful lesson he gave to us on, Thursday, July 19,2007 in the evening. Comments:	Back in the early and mid 60's, I use to come to Short Mountain Camp. At the time I was 10 years old. I went there 3 years in a row. During that time in my life I lived at Potters Orphange out of Bowling Green, Ky. I have some of the best memories from that time in my life, and the times I had at Short Mountain Camp. When I was 12 I was baptised in the in ground swimming pool. Loved waking up when the clouds were covering the mountain. Still to this day I love camping. In fact, my wife and I bouth 13 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains just for camping with friends and family. Take care, and thank you so much for the memories. Hugh DeLury

Comments:	Yaaaaaaay, it's vacation time again at SMBC. The kids are packed and ready to go. This will be their 4th year in a row. They are not from Coffee County but have went that week since they started and have made friends that they look forward to seeing.They love the fellowship and the free-time with friends. The food is delicious and parents can come anytime & eat supper with their children [ we go on Wednesday night]. My son was baptized last year and is still proud of that decision, so am I. Thanks to SMBC.This is a great experience and the kids are guaranteed to get your money's worth. Wish I could go too, but have to work. Have fun, fun, fun and love the Lord doing it...See you soon .

Comments:	Hey guys. I've been thinking about being a counselor this summer for the Warren/White County week. Does anybody know who I would need to contact to find out if they need counselors? They called me last year to do it but I wasn't able to and I don't remember who it was that called me. I'm a student at Freed-Hardeman University and I'm taking summer classes this summer but it worked out just right where Warren/White County week is the week after my summer classes end. Comments:	I went to a camp in Indiana for several years, probably 5 or 6, and when my brother and I got too old for that week, he started going to another in northerwestern Ohio. I wasn't able to go that year, on account of being out of the country, but the next year I went for a few days. THen last year, I went to Short Mountain. I honestly don't know when I've felt more a part of everything than at SMBC. I enjoyed it immensly, and can't wait until next year. I'm trying to get my brother to come, as well, and maybe a few others!

Comments:	From the time I was 6 until I was 20 I attended SMBC every summer (1979-93), first as a camper and then later a counselor. (Una week) I remember the excitement of that beautiful drive up the mountain and the tears shed on the way back down on Fridays. Our entire family (sisters Susan and Sarah and parents David and Lynn Scott) made so many wonderful memories and friends that will last a lifetime. When I came to camp, Mama Croslin was in the kitchen and Danny Dickerson was in the stables and when I left, the able-bodied Raines family was everywhere doing whatever it took to keep the camp up and running. My fondest memories are of the chapel in the woods and the Christian spirit that permiated that entire mountain. While my own two children have never had the opportunity to attend SMBC they have heard mom sing the song many times ..."We are the kids from Short Mountain Camp......"

Comments:	Coffee County Week was fantastic again this year. I want to let the boys from Rising Sun know that they were well behaved and that it was good to have them for the week. I also want Brian Wood to know that I appreciate the fine job that he did as being the counselor along with me in Rising Sun. I also want to thank Steve Lynn and Mark Williams for the great job they do in organizing and leading our week at SMBC. Also again, I want to thank all the campers, cooks, kitchen crew, the other counselors, and the rest of the staff for making this week the best that I have been to in my seven years at SMBC. I will not mention any more names for fear of leaving any out. Also, the list would be way to long! I encourage anyone who wants to be a camper or a part of the staff next year to please do so. If you don't, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! We have a great time on the mountain worshipping God, and taking part in activities that are too numerous to mention. The singing on the deck is unmatched! Our theme this year was centered around building our faiths, and I am confident that we achieved our goal. I look forward to next year!

I grew up in a home that didn't go to church and I learned alot from camp. There was so many activities to do, I can remember laying down at night feeling so tired but could not wait til morning. I believe that my children will enjoy it as much as I did. And I am thankful for the memories that I have from camp.

Comments:	As a teen, my summers at Short Mountain were great. I was there when "Mom" and "Pop" Brown took over as directors. I stayed in Lischey Lodge my first summer and later stayed in Cricket Lodge. "Mom" and "Pop" Brown attended Lischey Ave in Nashville, where "Pop" was an elder. We all loved them very much. I remember his taking us into a cave one summer, and we all remember "stunt night." But most of all, I remember their love for us and for God. Walking into chapel, you felt closer to God just listening to the birds and the wind blowing through the trees. I carry so many wonderful memories of the camp. My name then was Bettie Johnston and now is Bettie Lawrence, having been married for 35 years. I'm so very excited about coming back to Short Mountain June 26 - July 1, 2005 and helping at the camp with the young people for the Cedar Lane church in Tullahoma.

Comments:	I spent 5 summers of my life working up on God's mountain. Before that, I had the joyous opportunity to be a camper for 8 years. I don't think I love any place more than I do this mountain. I pray God's work will always endure at SMBC no matter what. I pray for the 2005 staff that they may have a successful summer and that during the last couple of weeks, God gives them alittle extra strength. Good luck to the Carters and the2005 staff...the work you do up there will impact so many children and the impact it will have on your life will be more than you'll realize until you are no longer there. I think about this place everyday of my life and never stop yearning to be back in that barn! I miss that life, and I miss my babies at the barn. I don't know what I would do if I had to miss camp for one year. I have been going there ever since I was 10 years old. Even though Im just 13 now I know I will enjoy everything SMBC has to offer untill the day I die. I make new friends every time I attend camp! I remeber my first year...I drove down the driveway into camp, I was nervous and excited, the beauty was so amazing! The cool part though, is that I had a friend who had moved away several years back and I hadn't heard anything from her for years, and when I pulled into camp I saw her! Comments:	I was so suprised to see all of the changes at SMBC this past year when I took my daughter for her first week of camp. When I used to go...there was only 1 BATH HOUSE! and it was outside! there were two showers, no heat and no AC! The lake is still the lake and the horses are still the horses, but the changes to the sleeping quarters are amazing!!!!!! She learned so much in the week that she was there, not just Bible knowledge, but that there are friendships to be made, new things to be experienced and that there really are others out there (besides the kids at our church) who are striving everyday to lead a Christian life. Thank you to all who volunteer their time to help our children!

Comments:	I attended Short Mt. Youth Camp for 5 years, starting 1957; I was 10 years old when I first went. Some of my most warm memories are from the weeks spent there. At age 12 I was baptized, along with about 15 others, in the "cold, spring-fed" pool. That was truly a wonder day. I hope to get up to the camp to walk around the facilities before too long.

Comments:	I totally love SMBC. I have not been in so long, but I remember growing up with Rural Hill and going there. Now I am getting to go with Tusclum CoC and am like totally gonna freak out I am so excited. I can't wait to stay in a cabin with all my totally cool girlfriends (thank goodness we have air) and I am for real excited about talking to any cute boys that may come up this year. I know it will be a great time of praising God in such a beautiful place and getting time to spend with some totally awesome young Christians. I go to Ezell Harding and so many of my friends talk about SMBC that I am totally psyched about getting to go back this year. Like the food might not be great, but at least the singing is. As I found and navigated this site, I was overwhelmed with emotions and fond memories of my experiences. Thank you Gayle, Patt, Bethany, Tiffany, and Ben Rains. Thank you Joey Spann, John Temple, Marc Jones, Danny & Philip Camp, Thank you to all the volunteers, staff, & campers I was involved with. Bible Camp was a integral part of my spiritual development. Comments:	I attended SMBC from when i was 9 until I turned 17, first with West Nashville Heights and then with Tusculum and the experiences I have had up there are some that I will never forget. Not only during camp, but for the retreats and the weekends we went up there to clean up camp, and when I helped rebuild the chapel in the woods last summer. SMBC is an amazing atmosphere with amazing people, and I am thankful for the time that I got to spend there with the people from both of these weeks and the staff.

You get to meet new people, enhance your knowledge of God and you can just be free for a week from all the stress and worry that you have back home. Comments:	I truly enjoyed S.M.B.C. I was a counselor during the Warren/White County week (July 27th to August 1st) and it was a blast. I must give a shout to all who stayed in the Risin' Sun cabin and to "da man" Chad Ramsey. Someone willl have some big shoes to fill. Also thanks to Tim, Teresa, and the entire S.M.B.C. staff. Comments:	It seems that there is a bee problem. While we were checking in on July 27, three children that I knew of were stung. This could cause a sever problem if someone happens to be alergic to bee stings. I noticed that the trash cans were not covered, and that they were right in the areas of high traffic. Could they not be stored futher away from the areas that the children are in. Like in a covered area away from everything. I would much rather walk a little futher from the mess hall or cabins to throw trash away than to have the risk of being stung everytime I was around the mess hall or cabins. Other than that I thought the camp was very nice. I was up there back in the middle 80's and loved it. This is the first time that my two children have attended camp and I hope that they return in the future. Please take this in concideration and thank you for your time. IN HIM

SMBC is such a beautiful place that overwhelms you to look out at it. You can not describe the feeling you get while you are there. Last year was so special to me. On our last night together, everyone at camp both counselors and campers formed a circle holding hands behind the basketball courts and we sang the whole night. It was a wonderful experience. SMBC holds a very dear place in my heart. God has truly blessed us with a wonderful place and wonderful people to run it. SMBC holds a special place in my heart and I can't wait til I go back!

Comments:	Last year was my first experience with Short Mountain Bible Camp. I helped with the Day camp and assisted as a counselor during Woodbury's week. I am a member at the Highland Heights congregation. The camp has made several improvements just since last year. It was great last year but each year they make improvements to make the camp even greater. I love the singing, especially at night. I am so glad I was introduced to this camp. The staff and caretakers are great!!! I am also glad that the website was started. This allows parents and children alike to learn more about the camp and being able to register onlne is WONDERFUL! We are truely blessed to have such a wonderful place here close to home where we are able to go to for fun, life-long friendships, & getting to know the truth. All the money in the world wouldn't stop me from returning year after year!

Comments:	I am very proud of Short Mountain Bible Camp. It is a good positive thing for Cannon Co. When you are on the mountain it is as close to God as you can get on this earth. Good sound New Testament doctrine is taught there. I have had the privilage of attending the ladies retreat the last two years.

Comments:	SMBC has a very SPECIAL PLACE in my heart! We lived up there spring, summer, fall and winter for 13 years...It was the best years of our lives! We were so blessed to be able to raise our three children up there. They were engrained in the summer, spring and fall with the word of God, meeting, playing and sharing with the best Christains in the world. In the winter we learned intergrity, stamina, and how to deal with obstacles.
