What to Bring

Dress Code | Summer Camp Policies

I remember my first trip to camp when I was 9 years old. No one gave me any advice as to what I needed to bring so I believe this list is so very important. Here we go.

1. A Bible - This is a Bible camp and we will have several great classes and devotional periods. Be sure to bring your Bible but please make sure your name is in it.

2. Pencil/Paper - In these classes, you will definitely want something to write with and on.

3. Sleeping Bag or Blankets, Sheets for a twin bed, and a Pillow

4. Towels - This is an item that usually gets mixed up with other people. It is a good idea to have your name on these.

5. Toiletries - It is necessary for each person to bring everything from toothpaste to soap. We encourage each child to have some form of small bag to hold these items.

6. A Swimsuit and cover up are necessary if you want to go swimming.

7. Flashlights are a great idea for night and are absolutely necessary if you go in a cave (supervised of course).

8. Modest Clothing is a MUST. This means we expect a childs shorts to come to the top of the knee while standing. We will not accept spaghetti straps, bare midriffs, tank tops, spandex or biker shorts. Anyone not able to meet this policy will be sent home. Please see the Dress Code Policy for more information.

9. Cameras are good to record all your memories from camp. Please put your name on them because so many look alike.

10. Jackets/Warm clothing are a great idea. It is possible for it to get very cool at nights during the summer but especially during retreats. A rain jacket is a welcome thing if it rains - umbrellas usually get lost and are not recommended.

11. Extra Shoes - So many children will get their shoes wet or dirty and an extra pair would be nice. We encourage sandals or flipflops for trips to the bathhouse. Shoes must be worn at all times and no sandals when you ride a horse or go on a hike.

12. Storage for Dirty Clothes - This is a must. A garbage bag or some place to put all their dirty stinky clothes.

13. Suitcase - Chests or Large "Rubbermaid" containers seem to work well for people. They can store all their stuff in one place, get to it easily, and even lock it up if they want.

14. Positive Attitude is the extremely important.

We hope this helps and we can't wait to see you on the mountain.

Dress Code

Everyone has to have rules. Rules are necessary for orderly living. Rules are to help, not hinder. These are not meant to hinder anyone's enjoyment of camp. Rather they have been put in place so everyone can have a great time at camp in a morally pure environment. Self-disciple allows us to function in whatever situation we find ourselves. No disciple allows you to function only in the manner you chose for yourself. When we accept the rules, we can concentrate on learning and having fun.

3. No sleeveless shirts

4. No mid-drifts (belly should not show at anytime), no tank tops,
